Saskia van der Meer is a German/Dutch interdisciplinary designer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her work is located in various fields of (graphic) design, with a strong focus on (unreadable) typography, editorial design, posters and visual identity.
In addition, she is also interested in sound, film/animation and performance and uses these in her design approaches and projects. This includes, for instance, performative and spatial works or artistic research. Her work consists of an interplay of different design areas — she can therefore fall back on a wide-ranging toolbox for her concepts.
At the moment she is interested in the visual sense of touch, translation chains between the visual and the tactile and wonders why colour-blind octopods are able to taste colours...
She was teaching at University of the Arts Bremen and worked at Team Thursday.
